Water conservation puzzle
The San Diego Oceanic Society approached me to help with an educational project about the importance of watersheds and water conservation. For one year, I produced one puzzle a month about conservation and environmentally responsible use of water , and one separate Flash animation about how watersheds work. This one is about washing your cars in the correct places. Runoff from washing cars is heavily polluted with soot and oils, and can easily find its way into drainage systems that go directly into the ocean. This maze shows kids where it is best to wash your car so that these toxic runoffs can either be absorbed or collected safely.
