I follow Tim O’Reilly on Twitter, and he quite regularly posts discount codes to books I ought to have. He’s gotten me about 5 times now, “Beautiful Data” is just the latest one. This book is a series of detailed case studies of data analysis applications such as maps, dna, photo libraries, and more.

Quick modal dialog with css and javascript
I was casting about for a quick way to mock up a modal dialog box for a new Cloud 9 Analytics project, and came across this circa 2006 post from Raven Tools (an SEO Marketing Tool provider):

Reaching Consensus
I love the “How to of the day” from wikihow. Here is one on reaching a consensus:
“It gives everyone enough of what they want to be content and will ultimately improve group cohesion with a shared plan, vision or goal, rather than create factions or an “us against them” mentality.” Nice huh?
